- There’s actually a bright side to Don Imus’ return to radio — it could take Melanie Morgan off the air.
- In further happy rumors of canceled conservatives, it sounds like the only thing keeping Tucker Carlson’s show is a momentary lack of a replacement show. Come on, Dan Abhrams — David Schuster and Allison Stewart FTW!
- National Geographic has some interesting questions to ask about Heroes.
- Japan Blog lakes a look at sentai TV programs. I certainly have nostalgia for them, especially the Battle Fever series that’s known only to people my age who grew up in Hawaii.
- Oh, and this has got to be one of the most insipid things I’ve ever heard.

Replacement for Tucker Carlson?
Two words: Rachel Maddow
She’s funny. She’s insightful. And she’s a good interviewer. Better than Carlson in 3 dimensions.
Actually, I’d like to see her in a show right before Olberman in the 7pm timeslot, so it would be more of a replacement for Chris Matthews, but whatever gets her on the air.

Yeah, Maddow’s pretty amazing though I’m hesitant to dream that big. One interesting thing about the idea — Maddow’s first TV gig came was a part of the early days of Carlson’s MSNBC show, so replacing him with Maddow would bring things full circle.
I’d rather see her on the post-Olbermann time slot, though, so it doesn’t interfere with her radio show.

See, we no longer get her radio show here since Clear Channel shut down Air America in Columbus. Grumble, grumble….
I wonder who needs to be contacted at MSNBC to suggest that Maddow get her own show…

I just learned that the San Francisco affiliate podcasts her show on iTunes… so there’s finally a way to follow Maddow’s show easily.
