Silent Library crossing the Pacific

Hey, remember that Japanese TV show that was a YouTube sensation a year ago, Silent Library, where people try to pull off stunts in a public library while trying not to make too much noise?

The rights to make an American version have been picked up by a production company.

I’ve been thinking that there’s something missed that American TV producers haven’t looked towards Japanese television for ideas the way they’ve looked to the UK. I wonder if this will remain an isolated case or the first step in a trend.

In that case, I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for a Death Note mini-series.
