- Okay, despite her tendency to gay bait, Maureen Dowd wins me over with this point.
- More reason why Joe Quesada is the David Brint of comics. Seriously, quell buffoon.
- So, gay fans are calling for a boycott of Hairspray because of the anti-gay history of John Travolta’s church. I can understand that, every dollar spent on tickets is a few pennies going to Travolta, a portion of which goes to the church with a further portion going towards anti-gay efforts like the anti-marriage efforts I saw in Hawaii. Still, for me its just too soon to essentially remake Hairspray with Deborah Harry and Jerry Stiller still alive. I can’t watch Michelle Pfeiffer or Christopher Walken without unfavorably comparing them to their predecessors. (via Towleraod)
- Kevin Church discovers a lost Food Network memo about failed series. I think I watched “Sandra Lee Orders Takeout” and never realized any difference between it and “Semi-Homemade” and I’m a bit bummed I missed the show about punching Bobby Flay.
- Fascinating. Check out this map with states renamed for the country that matches thei GDP so, France, huh? (again, via Towleraod)
